Oliver has over twelve years board level experience across the public and private sectors, with particular experience in the financial and environmental industries.
He has spent the last fifteen years seeking to advance renewable energy projects and develop low emissions solutions.
Oliver has spent over 23 years with Macquarie Bank establishing the groups international operations and he led the bank's initiatives with structured finance for wind, solar, biofuels, carbon credits and other renewable businesses.
Oliver was the first CEO of Australia's Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), Australia's ten-billion-dollar green bank and currently manages a portfolio of board and project financing advisory services.
With a degree in Commerce, a background in finance, bearing witness to climate change and our government's lack of pragmatic action, Oliver's drive to see Australia transition to a renewable economy lead him to stand as an Independent in the seat of Kooyong last federal election.
"I'm pleased to be on the executive of a party of Independents that will assist candidates who share our core principals achieve electoral success. Significant electoral system bias exists against Independents and having a platform that removes these could be critical "
